The international conference European Conference on Information Literacy – ECIL2023 is being held for the ninth time, and this time in Krakow (Poland). The conference gathered more than 150 participants not only from Europe but also from all over the world.

Gita Rozenberga, chief librarian at the Library of the University of Latvia and a member of the LibOCS project, participated in conference by giving a presentation on the research results and chairing the conference session “Information Literacy & new generation education”.

In the presentation, “Promoting the Information Literacy: Research Collaboration in the Citizen Science Projects” presented one of the results of the LibOCS project – a study on the role of libraries and other memory institutions in promoting citizen science, including more emphasizing the aspects of information literacy and science literacy.
